CAIT Bihar is the state chapter of the Confederation of All India Traders - India's apex body for retailers, wholesalers and MSMEs.
Our Story
Founded to give Bihar's traders a unified platform, CAIT Bihar operates in every corner of the state - from the ancient trading city of Patna to the border towns of Raxaul and Jogbani. We work closely with 1,200+ district and market associations.
Our members range from single-shop kirana owners to large wholesale houses, from agricultural traders in Muzaffarpur's litchi belt to textile merchants in Bhagalpur's silk hubs.
What We Do
- Policy advocacy with the Bihar state government on trade, taxation and mandi reforms.
- Capacity building - GST training, digital payments, and e-commerce readiness for small retailers.
- Grievance redressal at district and state level for member traders.
- Cross-border trade facilitation with Nepal via Raxaul, Jogbani and Bairgania.
- Promoting women entrepreneurship in the trading sector.
